Synopsis of On the Beach
Australia in 1964. Nuclear war has killed many people in the northern hemisphere, and residents in the southern hemisphere are also afraid that nuclear fallout will kill them sooner or later. At this time, the U.S. submarine commanded by Dewey Towers ventured toward California because broadcast signals were still being transmitted from San Diego, but all the troops stationed on the base were dead. On the other hand, several Australian protagonists face the coming doomsday in different ways: scientist Julian Osborne suffocated to death after winning a racing car; naval officer Peter. Holmes committed suicide with his wife, children, and family; socialite Molena Davidson tried to forget her fear through alcoholism, and later fell in love with Tao HuaSi for a short period of time.
