Synopsis of Dead Awake

The handsome young man Dylan O'Rourke (played by Nick Stahl) is an employee of a funeral home. He is used to life and death in the world, but he still cannot understand the meaning of life. So far, Dylan's life has been a complete failure. He has no friends around him, and even his girlfriend has left him. After a high school classmate's funeral, Dylan suddenly had the idea to hold his own memorial service to see who would show up. With the help of his friend Deco (Brian Lynner) from the funeral home, Dylan's memorial service was held as scheduled. As he expected, only a few people came to express their condolences. Apart from his ex-girlfriend Natalie (Amy Smart), there was also a strange girl Charlie (Rose McGowan) he had never met. After "resurrecting from the dead", Dylan became very interested in Charlie. He followed her to her residence, but accidentally broke into another new and mysterious world, and everything became complicated and confusing...
