Synopsis of Dealt

Richard Turner, 62, is known as one of the world's greatest card magicians, but he is also blind and unable to see. From the age of 9, Richard Turner gradually became blind due to a serious illness, and was later expelled from high school because he resisted learning Braille. However, this did not prevent him from becoming one of the best card players in the world. From the age of 19, Richard would practice poker for 14 hours a day, analyzing and thinking about every move until it became a subconscious habit. This film explores from Richard's daily life how this invisible man digs out the treasures of card magic in the dark and creates miracles. How can an invisible person perform a magic trick that most requires eyes to see? In addition to the protagonist's legendary experience, the various magic tricks in the film are also exciting. The film participated in the 2017 SXSW Film Festival and the Dallas International Film Festival.
