Synopsis of The Expatriate

After the death of his ex-wife, top CIA agent Logan (Aaron Eckhart) wanted to repair his relationship with his daughter Amy (Liana Liberato), so he resigned as a top CIA agent. As a member of the Communist Party of China, he moved to Antwerp with Amy, who was estranged from him, and began to try to live an ordinary life. Subsequently, Logan entered the security systems department of a multi-billion dollar multinational company in Belgium and served as a security consultant. One time, with the joint efforts of the entire team, they successfully cracked a highly confidential security device. But early the next morning, when Logan arrived at the office in high spirits, he found that everything related to the company had disappeared out of thin air, and all evidence proving the company's existence had been destroyed. At the same time, Logan discovered that his assistant turned out to be a trained agent responsible for the task of killing himself and his daughter. What surprised Logan even more was that his former CIA colleague and girlfriend was also ordered to hunt him down. In order to survive and find the murderer behind the scenes, Logan and his daughter Amy were hunted down by a team of well-trained killers...
