Synopsis of Face
The world's largest statue of Jesus is under construction at the city's edge. The hero Jacek's life is completely derailed when an accident at work disfigures him. Polish media eagerly followed the developments, and Jacek became the first person in the country to receive a skin graft. He may become a national hero or a martyr, but he will never recognize himself in the mirror again. Meanwhile, the statue of Jesus grew taller and taller. While the events surrounding the protagonist move fast and densely, the film never loses control of the bigger picture; on the contrary, it makes everything more focused.
