Synopsis of Education

McQueen originally planned to direct a set of six five-hour episodes for the BBC, telling five different stories. However, McQueen later expanded each story and eventually turned it into five feature films. The broadcast times of five feature films on BBC and Amazon Prime Video are confirmed: [Mangrove] (November 20), [Lovers' Rock] (November 27), [Education] (December 4), [Alec] Whittle] (December 11), [Red, White and Blue] (December 18). The five-part series "Small Axe" tells the story of London's West Indian community from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s. The title is a reference to an African proverb: "If you are the tree, we are the little axe," which was popularized by Bob Marley in the song of the same name. [Education] It tells the story of 12-year-old Kingsley, who has a soft spot for astronauts and rockets. He was pulled to the principal's office for being disruptive in class, and he found out that he was going to be sent to a "special needs" school.
