Synopsis of The Journalist

"Journalist" is adapted from the popular drama film of the same name. The film was released in theaters in 2019 and has attracted much attention for confronting Japan's political crimes and scandals in recent years. With its stunning treatment of social taboos, thrilling plot development, and outstanding visual effects, the film won three major awards at the 43rd Japan Film Academy Awards, including the Best Film of the Year Award, as well as many other film awards. In the new series "Journalist", Ryoko Yonekura ("Doctor Matsuda is a reporter for "Toto Newspaper" and is known as a "maverick of news media" who is dedicated to exposing the problems of modern Japanese society. The series is directed by Michito Fujii.
