Synopsis of An Inaccurate Memoir

During the Anti-Japanese War, a group of desperadoes gathered in the northern plains. Under the leadership of their leader Fang Youwang (played by Huang Xiaoming), they established an underground kingdom and made a living by robbing. One day they kidnapped Gao Dongliang (played by Zhang Yi), a groom who was on his way to welcome his bride. Unexpectedly, Gao Dongliang was a tough guy. He quickly conquered the entire gang with his blood and wisdom and became the "second leader". He developed a relationship with the leader's sister, "aunt-in-law" Fang Zizhen (played by Zhang Xinyi), and persuaded Fang Zizhen to go fight against the Japanese invaders, starting with the kidnapping of the "Emperor's younger brother" who came to inspect the front line. After some careful planning, this group of villains with numerous criminal records took on the responsibility of "everyone". With their weapons and flesh and blood, they sneaked into the Japanese camp and tried to make something big...
