Synopsis of Made in Bangladesh
Shim, a 23-year-old girl, works as a textile worker in a garment factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As a female worker, Shim and her female colleagues often suffered from various kinds of unequal treatment at work, which gave her the idea of changing all of this. She mobilized female workers in the factory who had the same unfortunate experience to establish a union. While seeking legal rights from the factory, she had to face threats from the management and strong opposition from her husband. Isolated and helpless, Shim chose to go against the wind. Women can only find a way out by strengthening themselves.
