The Strange Woman

Synopsis of The Strange Woman

After her mother eloped with others, the young Jenny Hague could only depend on her alcoholic father. She had been cruel and ambitious since she was a child, and she longed to have everything. When Jenny (played by Hedy Lamarr) grew up, she was beautiful and attractive, attracting the attention of all men. Dissatisfied with Jenny's frivolous and dissolute character, her father whipped Jenny with a whip. Eventually, she died of a sudden illness during the dispute, and Jenny fled to the rich man Essay. A. Post's family used beauty to seduce each other, and eventually married Post. Post's son Ephraim (played by Louis Hayward) grew up with Jenny and fell in love with Jenny. Isaiah, who had long coveted Jenny, deliberately sent Ephraim to Cambridge. Because of this, contact was cut off. After Jenny married Post, she wrote to Ephraim asking him to return home. After returning home, Ephraim secretly flirted with Jenny behind his father's back, but it didn't take long for Jenny to fall in love with him. In order to make everything go as she wished, Jenny began to encourage Ephraim to kill her father.
