Synopsis of The Capture Season 1

When soldier Sean Emery's (Turner) conviction for a murder in Afghanistan is overturned because of flawed video evidence, he returns to life as a free man with his young daughter. But when CCTV footage from a night in London is revealed, Sean's life takes a shocking turn and he must soon fight for his freedom again. As newly promoted Dee Rachel Carey (Greg) drafts in to investigate Sean's case, she quickly learns that the truth can sometimes be a matter of perspective. Should she trust Sean Emery? The Catch is a six-part thriller about the disturbing world of fake news and the extraordinary capabilities of intelligence services. In this "post-truth era," can we really believe what we see? The film is directed by Bafta award-winning filmmaker Ben Chanan and produced for the BBC by Heyday Television and NBC Universal International Studios.
