Synopsis of Portrait of Jennie

Eben (Joseph Cotten) is a painter who relies on his diligence and hard work to survive. However, that era was really too depressed, so Eben always lived on the verge of bankruptcy. One day, the painter accidentally met a girl named Jenny (Jennifer Jones). Eben drew a sketch for Jenny. What he didn't expect was that the sketch was photographed by the gallery owner. And asked him to paint some more paintings like this. After that, Eben and Jenny met intermittently, and the painter used her as a model to create one work after another. As time went by, a wonderful bond gradually developed between Eben and Jenny. Jenny grew up, and a portrait of Jenny painted by Eben was collected by the museum, and his life gradually improved. However, at the same time, Jenny disappeared.
