Synopsis of Cocaine Godmother
"Godmother" will tell the legendary and bloody life of Griselda Blanco. In the early 1970s, Blanco used private planes to transport Colombian cocaine to New York, the United States, and became the largest drug supplier to the five major Mafia families. He was a headache for the American anti-narcotics police. In addition to being responsible for more than 200 lives in the drug trade, her two husbands also died at her hands. Blanco was arrested in Florida in 1985. At that time, her income from drug trafficking made her the richest woman in the world. After serving 19 years in prison, Blanco was deported back to Colombia and disappeared from sight. In September 2012, while buying meat at a butcher shop, she fell to the killer's gun in the most familiar way, ending her legendary life. Of her four sons, two were shot dead due to their gang connections, one is serving a sentence in a US prison, and the youngest suffers from a mental disorder. Blanco was reportedly a fan of the mafia-themed movie "The Godfather" and named one of her sons after Al Pacino's character Mike Corleone in the film.
