Synopsis of The Wolves
Max and Leo immigrated to the United States from their native Mexico with their mother, Lucia. She said they would live a better life, and she promised to take them to the Disneyland of their dreams. The reality is that the children are locked up in a small, dilapidated room every day and graffiti, waiting for their exhausted mother to return from get off work. The director adapted it based on his own experience, painting a picture of an alienated and sad childhood. With a sensitive and cautious attitude, he outlined the pain points of a diverse society and immigration issues.
