Synopsis of Desperate Measures
San Francisco police detective Frank Connor (Andy Garcia) is frantically looking for someone who matches his son's bone marrow. His dying son is suffering from leukemia and is in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant. After many twists and turns, Frank finally found a suitable match, but the matched person turned out to be the murderer Peter McCabe (Michael Keaton). McCabe, who flatly refused at first, quickly agreed after meeting Frank's son. On the day of the operation, Frank's boss Cassidy (Brian Cox) came to the scene to supervise. However, at the moment the operation began, McCabe, who had planned for a long time, jumped from the operating table and took Frank's son hostage. In order to save his son's life, Frank persuaded Cassidy to enter the ward alone to negotiate with McCabe. However, the situation was not as simple as imagined. Desperate to escape, McCabe hijacked a car and fled.
