Synopsis of Grey Gardens
Edie and her daughter, who seem to have been forgotten by society, live in seclusion in their residence "Grey Gardens" in East Hampton, New York. Mother Edie Bouvier Bill (Jessica Lange) is bored all day long and raises a group of cats for comfort. Little Edie Bouvier Beale (Drew Barrymore) likes to be lively. In order to take care of her mother, she has to give up her modeling career, her dreams of achievement and fame, and even her longing for love and family. The eccentric mother and daughter Edie lived a fragile and aristocratic life. This film is a remake of the popular 1975 classic documentary of the same name, adapted from real events. This pair of Edie mother and daughter, who behave strangely, are distant relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy. They have lived in seclusion in their residence "Grey Gardens" in East Hampton, New York, for many years. This dilapidated old house was about to be demolished due to infestation of fleas and raccoons, and the strange things happening between the mother and daughter immediately became the headlines of major newspapers and periodicals.
