Synopsis of A Gun & a Ring

The film shows the intersecting relationships between several seemingly unrelated ordinary people in Toronto over the course of two weeks. Garner, a young man, is always trapped by the past; Detective John begins to doubt his passion for his career because of a wrong phone call; Ashe hates his overbearing father because of the suicide of his gay lover; Shano, a man who left his wife to protect his daughter, A widower who left his native Sri Lanka and immigrated to Canada; Aryan immigrated to Canada, but the death of his only son made him question whether his decision was right or wrong; Abby, a woman who went through all the trouble to get to Canada only to find that she had been abandoned by her fiancé... The film attempts to explore the cruel reality of generations of immigrants in Canada. They try to build a new life in a new place, but the intertwining of fates unfolds scenes that cannot escape the blood and tears of Sri Lankan immigrants in the past.
