Synopsis of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk

During the Iraq War, Billy Lynn (played by Joe Alwyn), a 19-year-old technical soldier from Texas, USA, became a household name because of an accidentally shot video. It was a small but fierce encounter. During the battle, Lynn's Class B squad leader (Vin Diesel) was ambushed and hijacked by local militants, and Lynn risked his life to rescue the squad leader. . The release of the video made him a hero worshiped by people across the United States, but few people understood what he and his comrades went through. In order to bury the squad leader, Class B got a short break, so they were invited to participate in a football game in Texas. Lin En's sister feels deeply guilty due to a certain incident. She hopes that her brother can take this opportunity to return to a normal life. The surrounding agents, fans, big bosses, and ordinary people all have various taken-for-granted understandings of war, patriotism, and soldiers. The celebration on the court opened grandly, but the hearts of Lin En and his comrades became increasingly heavy and anxious... The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Ben Fountain.
