Synopsis of Sanctum

Somewhere in Papua New Guinea, in the hinterland of a primeval jungle with few human traces, there is a huge cave known as the mother of caves - Issa Ala. The wealthy explorer Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) spent a lot of money and hired Frank (Richard Roxburgh) and his team who have rich cave exploration experience to explore here. A few months passed in the blink of an eye. Although Issa Ala's exploration was quite effective, the progress was still slow. At the same time, a severe tropical storm is coming, and cave exploration is imminent. Carl quarreled with Frank about this, and the latter made a desperate move and dived into the water with his already exhausted partner Jude (Allison Cratchley) to challenge the dangerous passage known as the "Devil's Limit". On the other hand, Carl's girlfriend Victoria and Frank's son Josh also explored the cave. Little do they know that disaster is approaching... This film is adapted from Andrew Wight's real experience while caving in Western Australia, and was shot using the 3D camera of "Avatar".
