Synopsis of Looking for Hortenser

Damian, a teacher of Asian culture, is entrusted by his girlfriend Eva, a stage director, to help Zolica, a girl who is about to be deported from the law. His girlfriend kept asking Damian to seek help from his father, who worked in the government, but Damian's relationship with his father was not satisfactory, so he kept delaying. As the incident progressed, Damian's life changed. His relationship with his girlfriend turned red, and he discovered his father's decades-old secret. What's even more frightening is that the person he was trying to help with all kinds of shirks was actually his own child. Some favorite girls... Damian, whose life was in a mess, re-realized the value of existence and the meaning of life, and began to do his best to help Zolica. Looking for Hortenser is actually a process of finding yourself. The film was shortlisted for the non-competition section of the 69th Venice Film Festival, and was shortlisted for the 2013 César Awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. At the same time, this film is also the second collaboration between director Basco Bonitz and actress Kristen Scott Thomas after 2003's "Little Scars."
