Synopsis of The Shining

In order to be able to concentrate on writing, Jack (played by Steven Weber) took his wife Wendy (played by Rebecca De Mornay) and son Danny (played by Courtland Mead) to a remote mountain closed by heavy snow. They have to spend the whole winter in this empty and gorgeous villa. There is a terrifying legend about this hotel. Its previous manager suddenly became insane and brutally killed his wife and children with an axe. Jack laughed it off and ignored it. The life in the hotel was comfortable and pleasant. Just when everyone gradually forgot about the horrific legends, Danny discovered some phenomena that science could not understand. Rooms that appear out of nowhere, elusive ghosts, crowds gathering in the bar at midnight and strange waiters all show that this house is unusual. What's even more frightening is that Jack seems to be attracted and changed by some unknown force, and he begins to become cruel.
