Synopsis of Copying Beethoven
1824, Vienna. Anna Hodes (played by Diane Kruger), who is only 23 years old, relies on her excellent understanding of music to become Beethoven's (Ed Harris) music copy scribe. Beethoven is obsessed with composing his "farewell work". Anna originally wanted to take the opportunity of working for Beethoven to learn from him and become an excellent composer, but soon she discovered that Beethoven was a stubborn, rude, and crazy man who was immersed in his own world. The premiere of Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" was a success due to Anna's help in times of crisis, and the relationship between the two gradually improved. When Anna took out the music she had written for Beethoven to evaluate, she aroused Beethoven's bitter ridicule, and Anna left Beethoven in anger. At Beethoven's request, Anna returned to Beethoven and tried to accept the opinions conveyed by his extreme words. Anna seemed to gradually understand this genius master...
