Synopsis of The Killing Season 1

"Forbrydelsen" is a remake of the successful 2007 Danish TV series "Forbrydelsen". Detective Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) is about to resign from her job and move to California with her son to marry her fiancé. Before leaving, he received a report and had to take former anti-narcotics detective Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) with him. The suspected missing girl is Rosie Larsen (Katie Findlay). Her mother Mitch (Michelle Forbes) and her father Stan (Brent Sexton) know nothing about it. After investigation, a car was found that had sunk into the lake, with Rosie's body lying in the trunk. The license plate information tells Sarah that all this has nothing to do with Darren Richmond (Bill Campbell), President of the Seattle City Council who is busy running for mayor...
