Synopsis of ghost mill

The film tells the story of the young Krabat's battle with the evil millmaster. Because both his parents died of the plague, 14-year-old Krabat (David Kross) became a beggar. For several nights, he had a strange dream, in which a crow summoned him to Black Kunlun's mill. So he went to the mill as instructed by the dream, and was taken in by the millmaster (Christian Redl) who wore a black leather mask over his left eye. He also made friends with the apprentices in the mill. As the foreman among the apprentices, Tongda (played by Daniel Brühl) takes good care of the youngest Krabat and helps him gain the recognition of the mill master and other apprentices. It turns out that the mill master is a black magician. Although he has been teaching magic to his apprentices, a terrible thing happens every day before the new year.
