Synopsis of Henry & June
Anaïs Nin (Maria de Medeiros), the wife of banker Hugo (Richard E. Grant), is a wild woman who looks graceful but is addicted to the writings of D.H. Lawrence. Under the introduction of her husband, Anaïs met Henry Miller (Fred Ward), a decadent and rough-looking novelist. She fell in love with the wise man in front of her, and then fell in love with Henry's wife Joan. (Uma Thurman Uma Thurman) is attracted. Under Joan's instructions, Anaïs began to take care of Henry's life, running around for his novel "Tropic of Cancer", and derived from this a period of wild and passionate joy... The film was nominated for the 1991 Oscar for Best Screenplay.
