Synopsis of The Year of Living Dangerously
The story took place in Indonesia in the early 1960s. Guy (Mel Gibson) was a reporter sent here by a television station to conduct interviews and investigations. At that time, the government had just been established in Jakarta, and the domestic situation was in chaos, which made Guy's interview clueless. By chance, Guy met a reporter named Billy (Linda Hunt). Although Billy is short in stature, he has extensive connections. With Billy's help, Guy gradually came into contact with some of the secrets hidden in this government. In Jakarta, Guy also met Jill (played by Sigourney Weaver), a beautiful and brave independent woman, and a spark of love collided between the two. The situation in Jakarta continues to deteriorate, and the friendship between Billy and Guy is also cracked due to various conflicts.
