Most of the monsters in the story come from the monster painting collections of Toriyama Sekien's "The Night Walk of Hundreds of Ghosts" and Takehara Harusen's "The Book of One Hundred Stories for Little People". On the surface, Nura Rikuo is an ordinary 13-year-old first-year junior high school student, but in fact he is the grandson of the monster "Slippery Ghost". He has a quarter of the monster blood. He is an ordinary boy during the day and becomes a monster at night. As a child, he admired his grandfather very much and liked his "Nuliang Group" very much. Because his father, Nura Koiban, passed away a long time ago, Rikuo was supposed to inherit the third generation of the "Nura-gumi", but he refused because he did not want to become a monster that his classmates feared and hated.
