Synopsis of The Tudors Season 1

In the mid-16th century, the British ambassador to France was assassinated, and the deceased was the uncle of the young British King Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). This made the king extremely angry, and he immediately summoned his ministers to prepare for the invasion of France. However, Cardinal Walkin (played by Sam Neill) weighs the interests of all parties and does not agree with war between Britain and France.
