Synopsis of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
This film directed by the famous director Vittorio De Sica is a comedy with stars, which can be divided into three parts. The first part is about a woman who specializes in selling foreign cigarettes in the black market and has never been behind bars because the law at that time did not arrest pregnant women and women who were six months postpartum. So after giving birth, she urged her husband to have sex, thus escaping the fate of going to jail. However, she ended up going to jail because of the failure to get pregnant. The second part tells the story of a rich woman who is infatuated with a writer who is younger than her. The two of them drove a limousine for a ride, but due to the heated atmosphere between them, the car crashed. The rich woman found it boring, so she stopped the car and drove away. The third part tells the story of a high-class prostitute who fell in love with a seminarian student. The prostitute got rid of her client's entanglement, but she couldn't stand the pleading of the seminarian's old parents and had to break up with the student. After the student left, his benefactor was still thrown into the cold palace. The film is represented by the styles of three cities, fully depicting the temperament of Italians, and both the male and female protagonists give superb performances.
