Synopsis of Together

The short film was shortlisted for the 50th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards and the first Shenyang International Micro Film Festival. The film tells a heart-warming story about retired policeman Yue and his son Dongdong, a thief, who help each other. An accidental act of bravery by Yue plunges Dongdong into a disaster in his life. The old policeman who lives alone takes Dongdong in and inquires about his father's imprisonment. Situation. On one side are elderly people living alone, on the other side are problem children. At the end of the play, the two marginalized groups watch together on New Year's Eve, forming an emotional sublimation. At the same time, it also conveys the director's hope that more people will pay attention to the group and let them learn more. Feel the warmth brought by family love and hope. The director spent 4 months polishing the script, adding Nanchang's ancient streets and old houses, as well as distinctive local folk songs and snacks, which gave the film strong regional characteristics.
