Synopsis of Eve's Bayou
Kasi Lemmons' directorial debut. It tells the story of an affair that occurred in a family of doctors in the southern United States in 1962. The film is densely filled with deception and self-deception among family members, and the future and past are mixed with the equally dim and ambiguous present. The outstanding performances of Samuel L. Jackson, Lin Whitfield and Lemmons' husband Vondie Curtis-Howe make the film full of flesh and blood.
