Synopsis of Claire's Knee

The 35-year-old middle-aged diplomat Jerome (played by Jean-Claude Brialy) is a man with profound insight and sense of humor. Jerome, who is about to get married, went on a vacation trip invited by his old friend Aurora (Aurora Cornu) as a bachelor. In a beautiful and peaceful country manor, Aurora introduces two young girls, Laura (played by Béatrice Romand) and Claire (played by Laurence de Monaghan), to him. Jerome can't help but lust for the young and beautiful Claire. When he saw Claire's boyfriend touching her knee, he had the idea to touch Claire's knee too. The film "Claire's Knees" directed by the international film master Eric Rohmer is one of Rohmer's "Six Moral Tales" series of films. The film won the 29th Golden Globe Award in 1972, nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and many other awards.
