Synopsis of Being the Ricardos

The film focuses on Ball and Arnaz, who are a couple in real life and also starred in the classic sitcom "I Love Lucy". The "Ricardo" in the title is the last name of their characters in the show. The story is set during a working week during the filming of "I Love Lucy," from Monday's script review to Friday's filming with an audience. During this period, the two encountered a huge crisis, their careers may end, and their marriage may also be ruined. Historically, it was Ball who asked the producers of "I Love Lucy" for his husband Arnaz to star in the show (the show was adapted from Ball's popular radio drama). CBS was reluctant for a time, fearing that viewers wouldn't like to watch a show. The very "American" heroine is with a Cuban man.
