Synopsis of Borgia Season 1
The story takes place during the Italian Renaissance. It is an era that belongs to Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, inspired creativity and unparalleled intellectual achievements. But it was also a Machiavellian era, an era of rampant criminals, raging wars, and rampant corruption. The Vatican, then the center of the Western world, was the arbiter of a series of conflicts between kingdoms. And at the center of this power is a man who is obsessed with power and is eyeing the Holy See. Later generations will regard him as synonymous with ruthlessness and the most notorious pope in Roman Catholic history-Rodrigo Borgia. He has four children. The eldest son, named Juan, is an arrogant, lazy sex fanatic. The other son, Caesar, is torn between his faith and his cruel nature. Daughter Lucria explores sexual temptation as a secret weapon of women.
