Synopsis of Downton Abbey Season 5

The fifth season of "Downton Abbey" has been renewed by the British ITV television network and is expected to officially return in the fall of 2014. It is reported that the news of the renewal was announced by the British ITV television network immediately after the fourth season finale aired. The fifth season will continue the configuration of the first four seasons, with a total of 8 episodes filmed, and an annual traditional Christmas special episode will be produced. The script for the fifth season will still be written by gold medal screenwriter Julian Fellowes, with Gareth Neame serving as producer. Nim promised that the new fifth season will be as "up-and-down, romantic, dramatic and full of comedy" as the previous seasons.
