Synopsis of When We Rise

The American public television network ABC has officially purchased the eight-hour miniseries "When We Rise" (tentative translation) about the struggle for gay rights. The great American director Gus Van Sant will direct the two-hour premiere episode of the show, and "Milk" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black will write the script of the film.
