Synopsis of The Desperate Hours

The story takes place in the suburbs of Burris, Indiana, where Don (Fredric March) and his wife Elena (Martha Scott) live happily here, raising their daughter Xin together. Dee (Mary Murphy) and their son Raphael (Richard Eyer). One day, after Elena sent her husband and children out, a group of escaped prisoners led by Green (Humphrey Bogart) and his brother Hall (Dewey Martin) broke into the home. After that, Green took control of the other three people in the family as if he were inviting someone into a urn. Their request was very simple, that is, wait for Green's mistress to give them money. In fact, the police were already hunting these fugitives, but they didn't know that these criminals were actually close at hand.
