Synopsis of The Levelling

The girl Clover learned that her brother Charlize committed suicide in her hometown. She had to return to her hometown ranch to face her father, whom she had not contacted for many years. My hometown has been changed beyond recognition. A catastrophic flood destroyed this land half a year ago, and my father has been devastated differently than before. She begins to understand that her long absence has led to the formation of a new understanding between her and her father. In the face of this disaster, she also gradually understands the true reason for Charlize's suicide. The film was nominated for Best New Screenwriter at the 2016 British Independent Film Awards and was shortlisted for the 2016 London International Film Festival's Feature Film Debut Competition.
