Synopsis of Everyday

British director Michael Winterbottom, who won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, spent five years using pseudo-documentary techniques to film the lives of a jailed husband, a wife who worked hard to support the family, and their four children. The style of the film is plain and subtle. The children slowly grow up in front of the camera over the past five years, and the natural charm of the passage of time emerges from the bit by bit clips. The director uses an unscripted approach and shoots once a week. The young actors participate in the filming under their real names and perform in an unpolished and realistic state. John Simm, who has starred in the long-running British drama "Doctor Who", and Shirley Henderson, who stars in the science fiction blockbuster "Harry Potter", play the parents, which is also a highlight of the film.
