Synopsis of Cavalcade
Won the 1934 Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Art Direction! The early 1930s was the golden age of film exchanges between Britain and the United States. The competition for the Sixth Academy Awards in 1933 was even fiercer. A total of ten films competed for Best Picture, and this film adapted from the British stage play of the same name stood out. In the end, Frank won three awards including Best Picture. Lloyd won the award for Best Director. When the film describes the Boer War in 1899, Robert. Marriott and his wife Jean Marriott were drafted to the battlefield, and from then on the Ma family was closely related to the world's current situation. Robert returned to his hometown honorably in 1900, but the Titanic shipwreck killed his eldest son. In 1914, the First World War broke out, and the youngest son went to the battlefield and unfortunately died for the country. The Marriotts have withstood the severe test of the times and have remained as loving as ever and have never lost confidence in the country. Cliff Brook and Diana Wynyard also give wonderful performances. From beginning to end, this literary and artistic drama lasted for 30 years.
