Synopsis of The Corruptor

New York's Chinatown is full of Chinese gangs. Chinese police officer Chen Li (played by Chow Yun-fat) relies on colluding with gang forces and balancing the interests of various gangs of spies to achieve a brilliant record and rise step by step. However, all this calmness was suddenly broken. There is a new gang in Chinatown whose main members are from Fujian, calling themselves the "Dragon Gang". A fierce turf war began between them and the old gangs, which became more and more fierce, and even Chen Li could not come forward to settle it. This situation attracted the attention of the New York Police Department, which sent a young and promising police officer Danny (Mark Wahlberg) to investigate the gangs in Chinatown. When various gangs fail to bribe the upright Danny, they decide to get rid of him. Will Chen Li, who is in a dilemma, watch his companions being killed?
