Synopsis of Carnival of Souls

Produced: United States 1962 ​ Mary, a talented young organist, takes a drive and picks up a mysterious stranger on the road. The car accidentally fell off a bridge, and Mary miraculously survived. ​ Later, Mary came to Salt Lake City and became an organist in the church. Strangely, the people in the city seemed unaware of her existence. ​ The classic American horror cult film, which influenced subsequent works including "Night of the Living Dead", "The Shining" and "The Sixth Sense". There was also a remake in 1998. The initial investment in the film was US$17,000, and the filming took only three weeks to complete. Four minutes were cut when it was first released in 1962, and these never-before-seen scenes were restored when it was re-released in 1989. ​ The standard version DVD contains the 83-minute complete director's cut in D5 format. The picture quality is excellent after restoration. Dolby mono audio track. The featurette is a one-hour "Centron Corporation movie clip".
