Synopsis of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

This new film directed by Michael Bay is adapted from the novel of the same name by Mitchell Zuckoff. It is a political film. On September 11, 2012, an anti-American demonstration took place in front of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Dozens of armed men stormed into the consulate after dark. The demonstration turned into a violent conflict, which eventually led to the arrest of U.S. Ambassador John Christopher Steves. Four people, including Christopher J. Stevens, died. This was the first U.S. ambassador to be killed by terrorists in 33 years. The film "13 Hours" is based on this true incident.
