Synopsis of The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain
During World War I, the handsome but shy Reginald joined a surveying team. According to the British government's regulations, anything above a thousand feet was a mountain and anything below a thousand feet was a hill. The town was occupied by local residents. The raised area considered the sacred mountain is exactly 983 feet. People could not accept the fact that the "Holy Mountain" was just a "hill" that might not even be marked on the British map, so they resorted to punctured tires to prevent the survey team from rushing to the next survey location. Later, they organized themselves to move soil up the mountain, hoping to raise the 20 feet in a very short time and turn the hill into a mountain.
