Synopsis of Tokyo Family

One day in 2012, Shukichi Hirayama (played by Hashizume Isao), who is in his seventies, and his wife Tomiko (played by Kazuko Yoshiyuki) came to Tokyo together. In this bustling and busy land, their three children live. The eldest son Koichi (played by Masahiko Nishimura) runs a clinic in the suburbs, and their daughter Shigeko (played by Tomoko Nakajima) runs a hair salon with her husband Kuzo (played by Hayashi Masako). and the second son Shoji (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki) who works as a kabuki artist. The family has not been reunited for a long time, so naturally their hearts are filled with joy. But now that the children have grown up, are responsible for the family business, and are working hard to make a living from morning to night, they have no time to take their parents to visit Tokyo. The old couple stayed in the children's homes one after another and deeply felt their hardships. Shoji's confusion about the future seemed to make the Hirayama couple even more worried. Maybe everything will be fine, there has to be a moment to let go. In just a few days, countless emotions surged through the hearts of parents, but there was no time to express them all...
