Synopsis of Serial Experiments: Lain

Iwakura Reine's classmate Shikata Chisa committed suicide. The suicide incident without any warning left the classmates at a loss. A week later, Lain received a text message from Qiansha. Qiansha, who was obviously dead, actually started communicating with Lain through text messages on her mobile phone. Back home, Lain used the computer her father gave her to start contacting Chisa. When talking about why she committed suicide, Chisa replied, "Because I no longer need a body. Without a body, I can continue to live in the wired network." The puzzled Lain continued to investigate Chisa's incident and discovered that there was something hidden in the wired network. A huge secret, Lingyin's own life experience has also become a mystery.
