Synopsis of Pain & Glory

Pedro Almodóvar, Antonio Banderas, and Penelope Cruz will collaborate on the new film "Dolory Gloria", which will start shooting in the first half of July. Contrary to Almodovar's previous film "Julieta", the protagonists of the film will be two men, played by Banderas and Ashel Etesiandia, while Cruz and Julieta Serra will play the female counterparts. It tells the life story of a film director in his later years, including his first love, second love, mother, death, and some of the actors he worked with. The time spans the 1960s, 1980s and now.
