Synopsis of House of Flying Daggers

In the thirteenth year of Dazhong's reign in the Tang Dynasty, many organizations emerged among the people to fight against the emperor and corrupt officials. Among them, the Feidaomen, under the banner of "killing the rich, helping the poor and overthrowing the imperial court," was the most powerful. The headquarters of Feidaomen is located in Fengtian County, close to the capital Chang'an. In order to ensure the safety of Chang'an, the imperial court ordered Fengtian County Government to exterminate all members of Feidaomen. The two major arrests in Fengtian County, Liu (Andy Lau) and Jin (Takeshi Kaneshiro), received orders within a time limit to apprehend the new gang leader of Feidaomen and bring him to justice. Suspecting that the little dancing prostitute (Zhang Ziyi) from Mudanfang is the daughter of the gang leader of Feidaomen, Capt. Liu planned to capture her and take her to a prison. Later, he and Capt. Jin set up a trap again to make Capt. Jin turn into a martyr and kill her. He was rescued and wanted to deceive her trust and find out the Feidaomen's lair, but what he didn't know was that in addition to dealing with Mr. Jin and his little sister on official business, he would also have some personal entanglements with them.
