Synopsis of Faces Places
The 42nd Toronto International Film Festival (2017) Audience Choice Award in the Documentary Section, directed by French New Wave grandmother Agnès Varda and street artist JR, the documentary follows the two as they drive JR's minivan through the French villages. Along the way they photographed the people they met and then painted billboard-sized portraits on the walls of houses and factories. It has been nominated for the Oscar for Best Documentary.
