Synopsis of The Load

Amid the faint sound of gunfire, the camera moves into the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia. In order to earn more money, truck driver Stefanovic transports goods from Kosovo to Belgrade. He drives across the territory and witnesses the war-torn country. On the road he met a young man who claimed to be from Belgrade. Facing this young man who was about to freeze, he kindly broke his employer's "no parking" rule and walked with him. The film adopts a road movie-like approach, with gloomy and dusty tones, like ripples on a river, showing the situation in Serbia during the bombing period, and subtly running through the chaotic political history of the Balkans. A lonely and disturbing journey that reflects the devastation of war on a country and a nation.
